Homeshoring

SmallBusiness.com: The free small business resource

Homeshoringing refers to hiring employees or independent contractors who work at home. The term homeshore is a play on the term offshore as many companies with large call center operations, notably JetBlue and 1-800-Flowers, have utlitized at-home employees and contract labor as an alternative to outsourcing such activities to services in another country -- offshore.
