Shopify is Ecommerce-related software accessible to businesses as a web-based service (also called, "web application" or "software-as-a-service (SaaS)") through a monthly subscription.

Product overview

Shopify is a hosted application that allows you to set up an online store to sell your goods. It lets you organize your products, customize your storefront, accept credit card payments through payment gateways, track and respond to orders — all without the hassle of running a physical store.

Pricing

Shopify has several pricing options ranging from $24 per month for an account that supports 100 products in a company's inventory, up to $699 for an account that supports 50,000 products.

The Small Business Web

Shopify is a member of The Small Business Web, a loose coalition of independent web-based Software as a Service companies that provide services to small businesses. The software offered by the participating companies, some of whom compete with one-another, all utilize open APIs and are intended to integrate information and workflow data seamlessly among the various products.
