Telemarketing

SmallBusiness.com: The free small business resource
Jump to: navigation, search

Telemarketing refers to the selling of goods and services over the telephone. Telemarketing can be outbound (calling prospects) or inbound (receiving calls from prospects responding to an offer made, typically, through some form of direct marketing).

Do Not Call Registry

In the U.S., consumers can place their phone numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry (direct link to registry). The registry gives consumers a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home.
